Nutrient Grinders
A grinder is a machine that reduces the size of raw materials by cutting, tearing, or grinding them into smaller particles. In the food industry, grinders are used to process fish, meat, vegetables, food waste, and other organic materials for further processing or recycling.
Our Screw Shredders are designed in accordance with strict hygiene requirements (EHEDG standards and food contact regulations) and are manufactured from stainless or acid-resistant steel (AISI 304/316) to withstand corrosion and ensure food safety.

Screw Shredder (EHEDG):
The Vågen Screw Shredder is designed to process a wide variety of materials down to the desired particle size. With an interchangeable screen plate, the shredder size can be easily adjusted to meet specific product requirements. Dimensions, inlet size, rotor diameter, and screen plate can all be customized. An inlet hopper with lid and end switch can also be supplied. Proven technical solutions are used throughout the design to reduce maintenance costs and ensure easy access to spare parts. We can also supply the necessary start-up applications and control systems, including frequency inverters for optimal speed control, all according to your specification requirements.
VKK5500 Single-Shaft Shredder:
We have developed our own single-shaft shredder, easily adaptable to various needs. The shredder comes with large knives for high capacity and coarse shredding. Knife design and spacing can be adjusted as needed. A feed tray with lid and end switch is also available as an option. The machine uses proven technical solutions to reduce maintenance costs and simplify access to spareparts.
Micro Shredder 1500:
The VMK1500 is our compact micro shredder, ideal for applications such as salmon processing or other operations with lower capacity requirements. This machine can easily be customized to meet your specific needs, featuring changeable knives and spacing for optimal performance. The optional feed inlet tray with lid can also be supplied with an end switch as an optional safety feature. The machine utilizes proven technical solutions that minimize maintenance costs and simplify access to spare parts.
Multi Shredder:
The VMK 3000, 5500 and 9200, is robust and efficient for moderate tasks! Our multi shredder, VMK, is designed for applications such as recycling, fishing, food industry and other processes that don’t require high power. With an option for 3.0, 5,5- or 9,0-kW motor, it offers efficiency, reliability and customization for different tasks. Knife and spacing adjustments can be easily made, and a feed inlet tray with lid and end switch is available as an optional accessory. The machine uses technical solutions that reduce maintenance and simplify access to spare parts.
Coarse Shredder:
The Vågen Coarse Shredder is a powerful, rugged machine designed to break down large, hard, or fibrous materials into manageable coarse particles.
